Join us for a guided look showcasing unique green features of Senja Hawker Centre. You'll get a firsthand look at urban gardening in our on-site edible garden and see how eco-friendly practices are part of the daily dining experience. It’s a great way to learn about both sustainability and the vibrant hawker heritage that keeps our community connected.

Beyond that, discover the therapeutic art of weaving at our walk-in Nature Weave Workshop, where you can transform fragrant, local flora like lemongrass and pandan leaves into beautiful wearable art. Participants will walk away with their own handcrafted aromatic bracelet, a unique "piece of nature" that smells as good as it looks, alongside the traditional skills to turn simple garden greens into creative, sustainable gifts!

Expect to see these booths there too!

  1. ZeroWasteSG booth
    • Swing by the ZeroWasteSG booth to test your 'Zero Waste' power too! Whether you’re a Dabao King or a Dine-in Diva, we’ve got a quick challenge to show you how your next hawker meal can be a Zero Waste one! Don't say we bojio!
  2. Fraction Design Studio
    • Visit the roving exhibition designed by Fraction Design Studio that will travel across all eight hawker centres delivering bite-sized insights on food and packaging waste management to the heart of the community. The exhibition is designed using recyclable cardboard. This ensures the display is as eco-friendly as the message it shares, using modular parts to keep waste to a minimum.
  3. PA Zhenghua
    • Drop by our Zhenghua Green booth! Zhenghua Green is a community-driven sustainability initiative under the Zhenghua grassroots network, aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices and reducing waste through volunteer efforts. Its key programmes include Food Rescue, which redistributes excess food to seniors and residents, and the Preloved Market, which encourages the reuse of clothing and household goods to minimise unnecessary consumption. The initiative also runs monthly Cash-for-Trash drives, manages two Multi-Storey Carpark Community Gardens, and organises litter-picking and paper recycling activities. Together, these efforts reflect a broad commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability and care within the Zhenghua community.
