Celebrate innovation with TinkerFest @ Science Centre

Tinkerfest is an annual event that celebrates creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning through fun and interactive activities.

This year’s Tinkerfest invites you to explore the hidden world of Kai, a Karang Guni man, through a journey across three unique biomes—Sky, Land, and Sea—where you can use recyclable materials to create functional inventions inspired by the challenges and wonders of each environment. The event centres on the Karang Guni concept by encouraging creative re-purposing of recyclables like cardboards, plastic containers, and bottle caps, which are generously donated by the community. This collaborative effort not only supplies essential materials for hands-on activities but also promotes waste reduction and environmental responsibility, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainability.
