The mudflats might look dull at first glance, but they are actually full of life. Masters of disguise, the inhabitants camouflage with their surroundings and it often takes patience and a keen pair of eyes to spot them. Not only do these organisms help to maintain the health of the mud, they and are also an important source of food for animals.
