This hands-on workshop offers a fresh way to look at preloved school uniforms by turning old fabrics into something useful and meaningful.
Guided by experienced facilitators, you will be introduced to simple sewing and upcycling techniques. Participants will work directly with preloved uniform materials to cut, assemble and create small accessories, while gaining a better understanding of textile waste and its impact.
No prior sewing experience is needed, making the workshop suitable for beginners, students, parents and anyone interested in sustainability. As we will work with sewing machines, the session is suitable for participants aged 16 and above.
Parents involved in Parent Support Groups are especially welcome, as the session offers ideas that can be adapted into school activities, donation drives or student programmes.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will bring home a handmade item such as a small pouch or wallet, a simple reminder of how old materials can be given a new purpose.
*Minimum Age is 16.
