Punggol Coast Hawker Centre Meeting point: In front of the big TV at the hawker centre

Free (registration required)

Discover how hawker centres are evolving at Punggol Coast Hawker Centre – this tour offers a close look at how modern hawker centres are designed and managed, integrating technology and sustainability into everyday operations.

Learn how features such as digital menu systems, centralised dishwashing, and smart monitoring tools help improve efficiency, cleanliness, and safety. You will also gain insight into eco-friendly innovations, including food waste digestors and thoughtfully designed stalls that reduce environmental impact.

Through this experience, understand how operators are reimagining the hawker centre as a modern community space, while continuing to support hawkers and preserve the spirit of local dining.

Expect to see these booths there too!

  1. ZeroWasteSG booth
    • Swing by the ZeroWasteSG booth to test your 'Zero Waste' power too! Whether you’re a Dabao King or a Dine-in Diva, we’ve got a quick challenge to show you how your next hawker meal can be a Zero Waste one! Don't say we bojio!
  2. Fraction Design Studio
    • Visit the roving exhibition designed by Fraction Design Studio that will travel across all eight hawker centres delivering bite-sized insights on food and packaging waste management to the heart of the community. The exhibition is designed using recyclable cardboard. This ensures the display is as eco-friendly as the message it shares, using modular parts to keep waste to a minimum.
