The interactive Beeswax Wrap Live Demo showcases the crafting process of eco-friendly food wraps. Beyond the demonstration, the session provides tips to prolong the wraps' lifespan for long-term use.
This activity supports sustainability efforts by helping participants reduce single-use plastics in their daily routines. It highlights how these wraps can be used to takeaway hawker favourites, such as a slice of cake or mee jiang kueh.
To encourage immediate adoption, every participant receives a (limited) complimentary beeswax wrap sample to begin their plastic-free journey.
Beyond that, visit the roving exhibition designed by Fraction Design Studio that will travel across all eight hawker centres delivering bite-sized insights on food and packaging waste management to the heart of the community. The exhibition is designed using recyclable cardboard. This ensures the display is as eco-friendly as the message it shares, using modular parts to keep waste to a minimum.
